room24 came into existence 4 years ago in the east coast city of Newcastle. The three piece met whilst playing in various bands around the Newcastle music scene, and joined forces to become what is undoubtedly the next big thing to hit the international music market. Extensive gigging around the Newcastle/Central Coast music scene ensured room24 a loyal and passionate fan base, and a reputation as one of the hottest young band on the east coast.

There are few three piece bands that deliver like room24. Instrumentally the band may be small, but their sound and their presence is huge! The powerhouse behind the drums that is Ben Sanderson delivers phenomenal intensity and conviction in his playing. Bass player Brent Ebling provides the mind-blowing bottom end to the band with driving bass lines that are either locked to Ben’s kick drum, or working a vicious counter-groove that is simply addictive. And these two stadium-rocking machines set the perfect scene for front man Jayson Evans to do his thing. With lyrics that are so poignant they somehow remain etched in your mind forever; a voice that is all at once intimate, soulful, anguished, and completely compelling; a guitar sound that is so huge, it screams for a stadium crowd; and guitar riffs that are so addictive, you’ll be hooked after the first song, Jayson is the perfect lead to an amazing band.

room24 signed to Tommirock Records in early 2008 and began tracking their debut EP “In High Defintion”, which was produced by ARIA charting producer, Tom Williams. .

A music video to the first single off the EP, “See Me”, was shot in February 2008.

“In High Definition” was released in March 2008, along with the first single off the EP, “See Me”.

In the past 12 months, room24 has played support for the Screaming Jets, the Black Sorrows, the Dukes of Windsor, and the Radiators, have played to a sell out crowd of 20,000 at Energy Australia Stadium, and are currently planning an Australian tour to support the release of “In High Definition”
